# kater promotion admin move-up

Starts to move a shared model's own field up to a shared model it reads.

It opens a promotion, or opens the one that a scan already recommends for the same definition. Kater drafts and checks the change, and writes nothing until you apply it.

## Examples

## Arguments

| `<field>` | The field to move up. The model must define it itself. |

## Options

| `--level <path>` | The file of the level it goes to, as [`kater promotion admin levels`](https://kater.ai/docs/cli-reference/promotion/admin/levels/) lists them. Without it, the field goes to the nearest level. |

It also takes the [global options](https://kater.ai/docs/cli-reference/global-options/) `--json`, `--kater-root`, `--scope` and `--help`.

## What happens next

Kater drafts the change and checks it on the warehouse. Follow it with [`kater promotion admin show`](https://kater.ai/docs/cli-reference/promotion/admin/show/). Then write it with [`kater promotion admin apply`](https://kater.ai/docs/cli-reference/promotion/admin/apply/). A promotion that was dismissed or applied opens again and gets a new draft.
