Kater CLI Present and share app

kater app list

Lists the apps you can open, newest first.

Narrow the list to one connection, one workspace, your own apps, or the apps you can change. To find an app by its name, use kater app search.

Examples

Terminal window
# List the apps you can open
kater app list
# List the apps you can change in the snowflake_prod_connection connection
kater app list --connection snowflake_prod_connection --editable
# List the apps over the ad_reporting workspace
kater app list --workspace connections/snowflake_prod_connection/workspaces/ad_reporting
# List the apps someone else made that you can open
kater app list --collection shared

Options

OptionDescription
--connection <name>Lists only the apps in this connection, such as snowflake_prod_connection.
--workspace <path>Lists only the apps in this workspace, by its full path from the content root.
--collection <collection>Which apps to list: all, the default, lists every app you can open. mine lists the apps in your own folder. shared lists the apps someone else made that you can open.
--editableLists only the apps you can change.

Where the list comes from

The list comes from the Kater API, not from your local copy. The CLI asks the same API as every other command, signed in as you: see Install and sign in. When you are not signed in, it says to run kater login.

What it shows

Each app has its name, its label and its description, who made it, and when it last changed. It also has its workspace and its folder, its link in runtimeUrl, and whether you can change it. When an app cannot open, unavailableReason says why.
