Kater CLI Build and check

kater retry

Runs again each object that erred, failed or was skipped in the last run, as dbt retry does.

It reads target/run_results.json and does what that run’s command did: kater build, compile, run or test run, with the same flags. Use it after you fix the cause of a failure.

It prints what kater build prints, and writes a new target/run_results.json. When the last run had no error, failure or skip, it says that there is nothing to do.

Examples

Terminal window
# Go to your local copy of Kater content
cd ~/kater-content
# Build a query and what it reads, and see two tests fail
kater build --select +spend_by_platform
# After you fix the tests, run them again, and what they skipped
kater retry

Options

It also takes the global options --json, --kater-root, --scope and --help.
