Kater CLI Share and administer git
kater git
Makes and updates a local copy of your Kater content.
The copy is a git repository that holds only what you can read. clone, pull and push talk to Kater, and every other subcommand runs git unchanged. Only committed changes are published. See Work in a local copy.
Commands
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
kater git clone | Make a local copy of everything you can read. |
kater git pull | Merge Kater’s latest content into your copy. |
kater git push | Publish your commits as one all-or-nothing change. |
Other git commands
Any other subcommand runs git with the same words, such as kater git status, kater git diff, kater git log, kater git add, kater git commit, kater git branch, kater git stash or kater git merge. So kater git status and git status do the same thing, and the exit code is git’s.
Commands that were removed
kater git reconnect and kater git invite are removed, and managed repositories no longer exist. kater git status is now plain git status.
