# kater dashboard inputs save

Keeps your filter values and tab for a workspace's dashboard, for the next time you open it.

It replaces the values you kept before, and changes nothing for anyone else.

## Examples

```bash
# Keep the last 6 complete months as your filter on the ad_reporting dashboard
kater dashboard inputs save --request-file my_ad_reporting_inputs.json
```

## Arguments

It also takes the [global options](https://kater.ai/docs/cli-reference/global-options/) `--json`, `--kater-root`, `--scope` and `--help`.

## The request

| Field | What it holds |
| --- | --- |
| `namespace` | The workspace, by its full `path`. |
| `inputs` | The parameter values in `parameters`, and the optional filters to turn on in `filters`. |
| `tab` | Optional. The tab to open on. |

This file keeps the `reporting_date` filter on, at the last 6 complete months:

Kater refuses values that make a record over 256 KB.

kater dashboard inputs save

Arguments

Argument	Description
