Kater CLI Present and share promotion admin

kater promotion admin levels

Shows where a shared model's own field can move up to.

It lists each level above its model, nearest first, with what selecting it does. Without a field, it lists the model’s fields that can move up.

Examples

Terminal window
# List the fields of the Marketing Sessions model that can move up
kater promotion admin levels connections/snowflake_prod_connection/modeling/kater_objects/semantic_models/marketing/MARKETING_SESSIONS.sql
# Show where its is_identified field can move up to
kater promotion admin levels connections/snowflake_prod_connection/modeling/kater_objects/semantic_models/marketing/MARKETING_SESSIONS.sql is_identified

Arguments

ArgumentDescription
<path>A shared model’s file, from the content root, such as connections/snowflake_prod_connection/modeling/kater_objects/semantic_models/marketing/MARKETING_SESSIONS.sql.
<field>Optional. One of the fields that the model defines itself, such as is_identified. Leave it out to list the fields that can move up.

Options

It also takes the global options --json, --kater-root, --scope and --help.

When no field can move up

A model’s field can move up only when the model defines it itself, and the model reads another shared model. When one of these is not true, Kater says that none of the model’s fields can move up.
