Kater CLI Pages you have open or were sent

kater here

Lists the Kater tabs you have open, front first, as your live session holds them.

Use it to see what page, query or chart you look at, and which rows each chart shows. It needs kater login in your own terminal.

Examples

Terminal window
# List the Kater tabs you have open
kater here
# Give the same list as JSON, for a script
kater here --json

Options

It also takes the global options --json and --help.

What each tab gives

  • Its handle, such as t1 or t2, which kater open --tab takes.
  • Its address (url), and whether it is in front.
  • says, what the tab shows and how it is set up, read from its address as kater place reads one.
  • object, the object it has open, and open, what is open on the page.
  • files, every file the tab has open or reads, each with its role. A chart, table or panel comes with the answer it shows: its id, ran_at, rows and inputs. Give the id to kater answer to read the rows.
  • dirty, when the tab holds edits that are not saved.
  • seen, when the tab was last on screen.

When no tab is listed

The list is empty when sharing is paused or no Kater tab is open, and it says why. Your agents read the same list, unless you pause sharing in your Profile, under Agents. The command reads your live session as the person that kater login signed in.

In a chat

Through the Kater MCP’s kater tool, an agent lists the person’s tabs. The tab that this conversation follows is marked following. “This chart” means the front tab, unless the person’s words fit another tab.
