Kater CLI Set up

kater logout

Deletes the token that kater login saved for the Kater API of your target.

It keeps your settings, and the tokens that you saved for any other Kater API.

Examples

Terminal window
# Sign out of the Kater API of your default target
kater logout
# Sign out of the Kater API of the prod target
kater logout --target prod
# Check the sign-in again: it now says that no credentials are saved
kater auth status

Options

It also takes the global options --json and --help.

What it does not change

  • Your browser. It does not end your session on Kater’s sign-in page in your browser.
  • A token in your profile. It cannot remove a target’s token, and commands go on using that token. When the target has one, the answer says "profile_token_override": true.
