Kater CLI Logs and bugs report

kater report send

Sends a bug report to Kater, after you say yes.

Give it the report that kater report draft --json wrote. It answers the report’s ID, its status and its link.

Examples

Terminal window
# Have Kater write the report, and keep it in a file
kater report draft "The chart sorts months in alphabetical order." --json > report.json
# Send it, after you check it and answer y
kater report send --request-file report.json

Options

OptionDescription
--request-file <file>Required. The report as JSON: the request that kater report draft --json gives, or that whole answer. Only an agent’s host can give - to read stdin.

It also takes the global options --json and --help.

It asks first

It shows the report and who reads it, and sends it only when you answer y. So run it in a terminal, with the report in a file. Through an agent, it runs with kater_apply, so the agent’s host asks you first. No option sends a report without a yes.

When Kater does not answer, the CLI cannot know if Kater received the report. Run kater report list before you send it again.
