Kater CLI Present and share promotion admin

kater promotion admin run

Scans a connection for repeated definitions now, without waiting for the nightly scan.

The scan runs as a job, and kater promotion admin list shows what it found.

Examples

# Scan it with a language model that you name to judge each promotion
kater promotion admin run snowflake_prod_connection --judge-model claude-sonnet-4-5

Arguments

ArgumentDescription
<connection>The connection to scan, such as snowflake_prod_connection.

Options

OptionDescription
--judge-model <model>The language model that judges whether a promotion is worth it, such as claude-sonnet-4-5. Without it, Kater uses the server’s own.
--draft-model <model>The language model that drafts a change that the compiler cannot write. Without it, Kater uses the server’s own.

It also takes the global options --json, --kater-root, --scope and --help.

What it shows

The answer names the job and its state. When a scan of the connection already waits or runs, Kater answers with that one.
