Kater CLI Present and share dashboard tiles

kater dashboard tiles remove

Takes a chart off a workspace's dashboard, with every tile of it.

The chart stays in the workspace, and no empty slot stays behind. To put the tile back as it was, save the file that kater dashboard open gave before.

Examples

Terminal window
# Keep the ad_reporting dashboard as it is now, to put the tile back later
kater dashboard open --request-file ad_reporting.json --json > ad_reporting_before.json
# Take the spend_mix chart off the dashboard
kater dashboard tiles remove --request-file remove_spend_mix.json

Arguments

ArgumentDescription
<path>Optional. In place of --request-file: the workspace, the query file or the chart file the request names.

Options

OptionDescription
--request-file <file>The workspace and the chart, as JSON. Give - to read it from standard input. See The request.

It also takes the global options --json, --kater-root, --scope and --help.

The request

FieldWhat it holds
namespaceThe workspace, by its full path.
chartThe chart to take off, by its name, such as spend_mix.
expected_revisionOptional. The revision from kater dashboard open.
include_inputsOptional, true when you leave it out. False answers faster, without the workspace’s filters.
remove_spend_mix.json
{"namespace": {"path": "connections/snowflake_prod_connection/workspaces/ad_reporting"}, "chart": "spend_mix"}

Putting it back

Send the file you kept to kater dashboard save, with the dashboard’s new revision. The tile comes back where it was.
