kater init vscode

This is step 8 of kater init. It installs the extension in each of these editors that it finds.

# Install the extension in each editor on this computer
kater init vscode

Options

It also takes --help.

When it finds no editor

• It finds each editor by its command: code, cursor or windsurf.
• The answer lists the editors in installed, and the editors where the installation failed in failed.
• When it installs the extension in no editor, it marks the step skipped.
• VS Code installs kater.kater from the Visual Studio Marketplace, and Cursor and Windsurf install it from Open VSX.
• When no editor can install it, its note says to check that the editor can reach its registry.
• To install the extension later, run kater vscode install.

It needs the settings:manage permission.
